Are you a just leader?
“The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.” 2 Samuel 23:2-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2sa.23.2-4.kjv
In a world so filled with injustice, a just leader is a ray of hope, a shinning light in darkness. In the Bible reading today God spoke to and through David identifying the requirement for true leadership - being just and having the fear of the Lord. The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom. So the question for you today is - Do you fear the Lord? Does the fear of the Lord pervade your day to day judgement? Do you relate with other humans like the unique masterpiece that God created regardless of their appearance today? If you must be a just leader, you need the fear of God. And as such a person you become another pointer to God fulfilling your purpose for creation - pointing the glory to God as a fresh plant that spring up after rain, a breathe of freshness in a decaying world. Are you a just leader?
Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you. Thank you for who you are and all that you do. Please Lord help me to stay focused on you as I navigate life daily so that I become a reflection of God in my interactions with men, always pointing the glory back to you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
